About us

From server owners,
for server owners.

We know the work behind a community because we’ve done it ourselves. We’re building the tools we wanted for our own servers, so you don’t have to develop them from scratch.

Why ServerSentry exists

One server.
Too many separate tools.

Server Sentry was founded by Mario Rauch. When Mario ran his own DayZ server, he developed tools to handle the work around it. Each solved a problem, but they were still separate pieces to maintain. ServerSentry grew out of a simple goal: bring them into one connected system.

Christian was the first tester. With years of running his own server, he brought practical feedback that helped shape the product. That perspective still guides us: make everyday server work easier, while keeping communities in control of their infrastructure and data.

The people behind it

A small team. Hands-on experience.

Two people. A shared perspective.

Mario Rauch

Founder & developer

Mario is a trained software developer with ten years of experience, including six years working professionally, and eight years in server hosting. Running his own successful DayZ server meant building a lot of separate tools. ServerSentry brings that work together in one system.

Outside work: video games and the gym. He enjoys talking with server owners and admins to find out what the product should do next.

Christian Czopnik

Volunteer contributor · Founder of WPmates

Christian runs his own DayZ server, develops with WordPress and offers server hosting through WPmates. As ServerSentry’s first tester, he has helped shape the system with feedback from everyday server operations. Today, he contributes his time on a volunteer basis.

At WPmates, he brings websites, hosting and operations together. He brings the same practical perspective to ServerSentry: tools should work together and make life easier for the people using them.

What guides
the way we build.

Keep ownership with the community.

Self-hosting is central to ServerSentry. Your player telemetry stays in your own database by default. You choose which external integrations to enable.

Connect the work that belongs together.

Server administration, player investigations, support and commerce should share context. Your team should spend less time moving between disconnected tools.

Build with server owners.

The product grows through conversations with owners and admins. Direct server administration starts with DayZ, with a long-term ambition to support more games.

Tell us what your team needs.

We enjoy talking with server owners and admins. Share what’s working, what’s missing and what takes up too much of your day.
