DayZ logs & AI

DayZ logs that help you explain what happened.

Investigate your modded DayZ server from the player report to the recorded event. Server Sentry brings searchable gameplay logs, player profiles, a live map and AI-assisted investigation together on your infrastructure.

Search recorded activity with the right context

Filter telemetry by player, server, mod and time range, then inspect the underlying event payload. Player profiles bring Steam and BattlEye identity together with recorded history, bans, queue access, analytics and logs.

Combat views include recorded hits, kills, hit zones, weapons and distances. Economy views cover recorded trader activity and ATM movement from supported integrations. The live map places tracked players, vehicles, bases, zones and world events in their surrounding game-world context.

For targeted investigations on a modded server, narrow the logs by event type, category, mod, Steam ID, item class, trader or location and radius. Open the original event payload to inspect the details. Coverage depends on the events supplied by the connected server and supported mod integrations.

Go from a player to recorded combat events and their details.

Ask AI a question, then review the evidence

Ask about a player's activity, a location, a combat event or a transaction in natural language. Narrow the investigation by server, time window, coordinates and radius. Server Sentry searches matching telemetry and builds a bounded, read-only evidence set for the configured AI provider.

An answer depends on the events that were actually recorded. If a death or transaction is missing from the evidence, the tool cannot establish it as fact. Review timestamps, returned events and the search plan before making a moderation decision. AI-assisted investigation does not replace staff judgment.

Ask a question, inspect the search and review the evidence behind the answer.

Share ban lists and set your own connection rules

Server Sentry has its own Ban Network for shared ban lists across participating communities. Manage public or private lists, temporary or permanent bans, and choose the lists and categories assigned to your DayZ servers. Staff permissions control who can view and manage bans; your community decides which lists to enforce.

Built-in VPN Protection checks player IP addresses against a locally loaded detection database. Configure VPN, proxy and Tor rules per server, with additional controls for hosting networks and residential proxies. Use observation or enforcement modes and player whitelist exceptions to apply your own policy. Detection is based on known networks and cannot identify every anonymized connection.

Your ban lists and your moderation policy, shared through Server Sentry's own Ban Network.

Keep the operational database on your infrastructure

A connected Game Server Agent enables logs, telemetry and direct operations for the supported DayZ servers on a host. Each Agent is licensed per host, so several supported servers on the same machine do not require an Agent for every server instance.

Player telemetry and moderation records stay in your self-hosted database by default. An external AI provider receives the evidence needed for an investigation when you enable that workflow. Other optional integrations have their own data flows; self-hosting is not a promise that configured third-party services receive no data.

Gameplay investigations and performance diagnostics are different jobs

Use Server Sentry for player activity, community support and operational telemetry. If you need to investigate server lag, low server FPS or script and mod bottlenecks, Performance Debugger is a separate DayZ diagnostics product with its own license and requirements.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Questions before you start

Can I use Server Sentry for detailed logs on a modded DayZ server?

Yes. A connected Game Server Agent brings recorded DayZ telemetry into your self-hosted platform. Search by player, server, mod, event type, category and time, or narrow an investigation by item, trader and location. Combat and economy views provide context for supported events and mod integrations; unsupported events are not automatically recorded.

Does Server Sentry support community-wide ban lists?

Yes. Server Sentry's own Ban Network supports shared ban lists across participating communities, public and private lists, and temporary or permanent bans. Choose which lists and categories to enforce on each connected DayZ server. Sharing uses the central Server Sentry Ban Network service; it does not require a CFTools integration.

Does Server Sentry include VPN detection for DayZ players?

Yes. Built-in VPN Protection performs local IP lookups against its detection database, with configurable VPN, proxy and Tor rules, hosting-network and residential-proxy controls, observation or enforcement modes, and player whitelist exceptions. It does not require a CFTools integration. Matches depend on the available network data, so detection is not guaranteed for every connection.

Can I analyze DayZ logs with AI?

Yes. Ask AI searches matching recorded telemetry and sends a bounded read-only evidence set to your configured provider. Staff can review the evidence before acting.

Does Server Sentry record every possible DayZ event?

Coverage depends on the connected server, configured telemetry and supported mod integrations. Search results and AI answers can only use the events actually recorded.

Are gameplay logs the same as a DayZ performance profiler?

No. Server Sentry connects player and operational telemetry. The separately licensed Performance Debugger is designed for engine, script and host performance investigations.
